Food Drive For Humans
Feeding the hungry and needy is undoubtedly the noblest cause of humanity. Whatever point of view you possess to see this there will be a happy scene. The smile you bring over the long downcasted faces is the most beautiful scene on the earth. Without food neither a morning nor an evening or night is good. Walk With Humanity believes that a helping hand is far better than a hundred helping words. Though we believe good words, we speak with our noble actions. That makes the morning or evening good for someone.
Many systematic food campaigns are patronized by Walk With Humanity. Our feeding programs are not like community kitchens; we provide food to those who need it. We provide fresh and healthy food to the homeless, poor, needy, regardless of caste, religion, gender, age, or any other narrow consideration.
India accounts for a quarter of the world's hungry people, with about 195 million people suffering from malnutrition. Due to chronic undernutrition or stunting, about 47 million children in India, or 4 out of 10 children, are not reaching their full human potential. Stunting has several negative implications, including impaired learning ability, poor academic performance, lower incomes, and an increased risk of chronic diseases. Malnourished girls and mothers frequently give birth to low-birth-weight infants, which has multigenerational consequences. In India, the prevalence of overweight and obesity in children and adolescents has increased, with long-term repercussions of noncommunicable diseases in adulthood.
Although the government has extensive food security and anti-poverty programs, there are significant gaps in terms of inclusion and exclusion errors. Women and girls are disproportionately affected. Despite achieving national food security, new difficulties have surfaced, including slowing agricultural expansion, climate change, land degradation, and declining biodiversity.
Due to uneven fertilizer use and excessive use of a single fertilizer, urea, large swaths of agriculture in India has turned barren.
India is ranked 102nd out of 117 countries in the Global Hunger Index.
These problems have gotten worse as the COVID-19 outbreak has progressed. The virus has wreaked havoc on global and local food systems, and the poor and needy in India are suffering more than ever.
Walk With Humanity walks with those poor and needy and provides nutritious food for free to feed them.
